The Rosa Parks incident initiated the very begining of the civil rights movement. It really could have been anybody who decided on that day or any day to stand up to the social customs of that era. She is not a hero by any logical definition. Her incident was used as a rallying cry for the civil rights movement among african americans. People tend to lose perspective, especially when the media( who have thier agenda)
glorifies individuals, who may very well deserve noteworthy historical reference, but are not either heros or heroines by any acceptable standard that is commonly used throughout written history
