What are your thoughts on this movie? We all know what it's about.

I haven't seen it - I've got Netflix, so I'm thinking I'll wait for it to come out on video. What did you think about it?

I really think it depends. If you've already seen Moore's other films and read his books, you might find this film to be nothing more than a re-hash of pretty much everything he's said so far.
I found it a little slow, and if I were to go see it again I'd wait until the first hour was over before going in. You're better off waiting for video!
However, there's a place (apologies, I don't know where) on the Net where you can download it (broadband only) in a few hours. Moore says he doesn't mind if it's shared over the Net, though I'd certainly like to see if the DVD version is going to be copy-protected!

I am not buying into people's views that F911 is a comedy or a mock documentary. That might be true of some of Moore's previous work, but I just don't see it that way for F911.
The reason is because 90% of the film is real news footage. Very little of this one is comprised of Moore's sarcastic comments and footage.
I think that when we watch the daily news, we forget bits and pieces over time and the goverment depends on that. But when someone like Michael Moore goes back and reminds us of facts and then compares it to recent news, it's an eye opener.

I agree, the movie is not one to be poo-pooed as a mere spoof, whether you agree or not with its views. He doesn't pretend it is a balanced movie, despite a couple of jabs at the Dems. I guess the best thing about it is that it brings back to mind a number of things that we may have let slip from our minds in the torrent of current events these days, and puts many of them in context of today's events.
