Has anyone else noticed how fewer and fewer people are obeying the traffic laws?

When stopped at a street light we used to see how quickly we could go when the light turned back to green.

If you did that these days more then likely you would get clobbered. So many are flying through yellow and red lights these days.

The light turns green and then you should count to 5 before entering the intersection!! LOL!

Are they in that much of a hurry?

Good point pb. You are truely a non-conformist and a bit of a rebel I would wager as well; one that obeys traffic laws. It is rare indeed to find a non-conformist who knows when to stop..:p

I enjoy your posting.

Thanks for the message.

I think it is true that more and more people are disobeying traffic laws. The only one that I think is stupid is the seat belt law. There is absolutely no reason to force people to where seatbelts. When someone doesn't where a seatbelt he/she only endangers him/herself and it should be a person's choice whether he/she wants to where a seatbelt or not.

For adults I think you have a good point, but when a child is involved there needs to be a law to protect the child from ignorant parents that don`t buckle their child in.

If there is not a law making people wear seat belt, and that person not wearing the seat belt is injuried and happens to not have health insurance, do we still have to foot the bill? That is the situation that would make me mad because you know we all end up paying their bill.

So how do you feel about helmets and motorcycles?

I guess you have a point about the kids so there should be an age limit where kids will have to where seat belts. The helmets should also be the choice of whoever is riding and in Pa there is an age limit (21) which I think is reasonable.
