Excellent! After all, "Your rights end where anothers begin"
A question off the topic: What does 'sticky' mean? I'm new to message boards.

Another user has been banned from BA due to racist comments.
Let it be re-iterated here that this sort of thing will NOT be tolerated on Born American.

I am very glad you do not tolerate that sort of thing. Some people are very small minded in their views and that's their own business, but it certainly doesn't belong on boards. Have a great day!

well thats all well and fine but why did I get banned? yes my e-mail is white power but my name wasnt nor did I plan on pushing my views on anyone. I'm just an american like anyone else I have serverd as an soldier through desert storm and other conflicts america has faced and thought I was coming to a place where views can be heard in an open forum. You seem to have no problem with liberals so why ban the far right if they are being respectful?

Are you serious? Why did you get banned? I'd guess it's because you have the IQ of a trout.
Thanks for posting!

Hey ForceFedHate-
Listen, I can tell by your punctuation that you are and educated man. Therefore, I sincerely apologize for insinuating that you have the IQ of a trout. Are there any animals that you'd prefer better? You know, we have some bears up here that are pretty smart - some of them are even snow white for you, buddy!
I have to admit, though, that I am not an American. But, I have travelled and lived all over this planet, and if there's one thing that I've learned is that the family of Humanity supercedes all flags, no matter if you are American or Canadian or Sri Lankan or wherever you are from.
As you claim to be a soldier who served during Desert Storm, I expected that you might have an understanding of Humanity. If you joined the military to help rid the world of people like Saddam or Osama, then I think that's great. If you joined for the chance to only shoot guns at coloured people, then I think you are a real knob.

Well gee, considering this is a message board and not a term paper I did not feel grammer or spelling was such a big deal. As for my "claim" of being in the army I did 12 yrs (4 terms) My last duty station was the 1/102 light infantry/ranger ARNG. Why are you commenting on my post anyway? It wasn't directed to you in the first place.
I love how folks talk about free speech than when someone presents a view that differs "they" (you) resorts to childish name calling "small minded" I know it was the hippie that said it and not you but that really makes me laugh. Hippies are all about having a say and wanting there voices heard..until they have to fight for it that is. Remember the "60's? what great Americans the tree huggers were, not only did many burn there draft cards their by making some other American with the courage to meet the responsablity placed on them by the Gov't (wether they belived in the war or not). Go to war and maybe die, But they also fed the fire that has made drug use in our nation so rampant.
Well, I suppose just being an evil Skinhead is the most horrible thing in the world, a guy can walk down the street wearing a marilyn manson shirt with 666 on it , and no one raises an eyebrow. Yet if I wear a white pride shirt everyones jaw drops, oh by the way thats all they do while people such as yourself may open there mouths on a message board they sure dont do it too a dozen skins on the street. Why? because we know what we stand for and are willing to fight to protect it.

You are exactly right! This is a message board, and that gives me the right to comment on pretty much any post I see fit. I think that pretty much sums up your free speech thingy.
I notice you mention people not speaking up when they see skinheads on the street. When you say that it's "because we know what we stand for and are willing to fight to protect it" well, that's the problem. You take it too literally - you aren't supposed to beat up others for speaking freely, that eliminates your entire argument for free speech!
What are your views, by the way? You know the rules of this website, let's hear what you've got. My view is that everyone has the same rights as others, bar none, no matter what. Everyone is equal (George Orwell notwithstanding.)
And yours?

I have a solution to the Race problem. If asked by any form, poll, or application for my Race... I state I'm Human. And if you're so inclined to be of a designated color, fine. Be a Color.
I prefer being a Human. Is that racist?

I do the same, Seeker. Whenever I'm asked, I simply decline to state - I think we're all way too concerned with what color people are. I figure if someone needs to know bad enough they can come find me and guess.

Hi there. I'm new at this, so be gentle. I was born an idealist and, living in a community that wasn't very diverse in the Midwest, didn't understand racist concepts whatsoever.
The subject may be considered a bit provocative, but I do believe it will gain steam eventually in terms of regular dialogue. I now live in the Dallas, Texas, area, and realize that racism isn't limited to the white race. Indeed, every race can - and does - have some racists within their groups. Down here, though, I see it particularly among African Americans. The so-called race card is played regularly anymore and, I fear, starting to turn off mainstream America.
Whether white, black or polka dot, name-calling doesn't serve anyone's best interests. It polarizes, and polarization leads to no communication. And if we don't communicate, we can never get past our real and imagined biases.
The problems within the African American society has to be resolved by African Americans in a proactive way. The Al Sharptons of the world make money on racism - real and, more directly, perceived. So we cannot turn to folks like that, I'm afraid. Are there any African American groups out there working toward the betterment of their society/culture without getting into a blame game?

p.s. For what it's worth, I would support WhitePower's - or whatever his name is/was - right to express his opinion, here or anywhere. I don't agree with his stated points of view - or what it appears to be his point of view - but I'm passionate about his right to expression.
I personally would prefer to 1) know people like that are out there; 2) hear what it is they think and why.
If we can enter true dialogue without name-calling, we may just end up being able to make a difference. Ya know?
Peace to all.

I can understand your attitude toward Race Seamus.......I grew up in the Mid-West too. It wasn't until I moved to the west coast I learned what a racist I'm supposed to be......Can you imagine the shock of learning that all my life I was supposed to be a racist slave-owning oppressive honkey? I had been an utter failure at hating for no reason.
I must confess I still am. But now I watch my back against the "un-enlightened" amoung my fellow Man. That's a hard lesson to learn.

I do not consider myself racist.
I am 1/8 th native American.
I have 2 black grand kids.
But ...
Am I the only one who remembers a WWII cartoon character, that the 'squinty' eyed and big teeth Icon reminds me of ???
I'm leery of mentioning the specific WWII cartoon character, for fear of you thinking that I am racist.
PC run amuck ???

At the time that cartoon came out, we were at war with a back-stabbing and racist Military Regime all in it's own right. I'm talking about Japan...... They had just bombed us and THEN declared war.
I don't know of any culture or race that doesn't have it's own particular way of viewing others. But, I still try to give everyone the benefit of proving themselves first before I pass judgement.
Peace.

Dear Seeker,
I agree totally.
I have never used THAT Icon for that reason.
But I have been called racist on posts (not here .... yet) that do use that Icon.
